Gene Hasley

Gene H. Hasley, 89, of Kerrville left his illness behind on Sunday March 11, 2018. He was born to Arthur and Bertha Halsey in Marietta, Ohio in 1928.

He is reunited with his parents, his brother Richard and his sister Ruth.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie of 61 years, his son Lloyd and his daughters Jeanette and Marie.

He served our country in the US Army stationed in Japan. He then attended West Virginia Tech on the GI bill, where he met his wife Marjorie of 61years. He started work as a nuclear engineer working on some of the early submarines for the US Navy, worked on the Mercury space program and worked on armored personnel carriers. He loved his woodworking hobby and teaching math and science. He was an avid pilot and flew his plane from coast to coast several times.

He was well cared for by hospice and Edgewater Nursing Home. Special thanks to Kerrville Funeral Home for handling all of the funeral arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 17, 2018 from 10 AM - 11 AM at Kerrville Funeral Home 1221 Junction Highway Kerrville Texas, 78028.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday March 17, 2018 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Graveside services immediately following at Garden of Memories Cemetery 3250 Fredericksburg Highway
