San Antonio Gaylon Lee Moore, 60, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life after a brief illness on September 10, 2007 at a San Antonio Veterans facility. He was born January 22, 1947 to Austin Fred and Velva Lee McCormick Moore in Lubbock, TX.Mr. Moore was proud to be a Texan, and truly loved the Texas Hill Country. He was a song writer and guitar player, and enjoyed every second of his time spent with music. Mr. Moore was also the original inventor of the Shower Buddy, of which went on the resale market in 1994. He was inducted into the International Inventors Hall of Fame in 1995. He spent a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corp. from December 12, 1966 until September 5, 1972, being discharged as a Cpl. He served in the Viet Nam Conflict, and was well decorated. He earned the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal 1st Award, National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal w3, Viet Nam Campaign Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Expert Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal 2nd Award. Surviving Mr. Moore are his loving wife, Janette Moore of Kerrville, TX whom he married June 19, 2007 a daughter, Mystie Lea Moore sister, Joy Hogan, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.ation will be held from 6 8 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, September 17, 2007 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, TX with the Rev. Jack Routhenflue officiating. Interment will follow at 2 PM with Marine Honors at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on San Antonio, TX.In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
