Gary Blackstock

KERRVILLE Gary Lee Blackstock, 53, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on August 14, 2013 in Kerrville, TX. He was born March 8, 1960 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Arlin Blackstock and Sonja Cravey Blackstock.

Gary moved to Kerrville at age five, and after attending school in Kerrville, he moved to San Antonio where he had three wonderful kids Amy, Chris and Garrick. After his last child was born, Gary decided to come back home to Kerrville to work for his father at Borden Milk. He worked several years before his disability prevented him from doing what he loved. Gary was a beloved son, father, and grandfather, and he will be missed and never forgotten by all of those who loved him.

Gary is preceded in death by his loving grandfathers, Samuel Baughman and Bill Blackstock grandmothers, Sybil Baughman and Leona Blackstock and uncle, Robert Stalcup.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his mother, Sonja Blackstock father, Arlin Blackstock wife, Myrtle Taylor sons, Garrick Blackstock and Chris Blackstock daughter, Amy Vela stepdaughters, Kristen Coleman and Debra Ceniceros uncle, Bill Stalcup, aunt, Auclry and husband Ron Kalanica, along with many loving friends and neighbors who will miss his smile and personality.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the National Parkinsons Foundation, or American Cancer Society, or the charity of ones choice.

A visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on August 16, 2013 from 68 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.
