Kerrville Frances H. Koenig, 80, of Kerrville and formerly of Victoria, passed from this life on September 7, 2010.
Born in Columbus, TX on January 24, 1930, she was the daughter of Hubbard Hub and Charline Andriano Lewis.
Mrs. Koenig married Dr. Reuben E. Koenig on June 4, 1949 in Columbus, a union that would last 61 years and be blessed with 3 children.
She started the Quilt Cupboard in Victoria 30 years ago and traveled to quilting shows throughout the country. She was talented in her needlework.
A skilled cook, Mrs. Koenig enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends.
A faithful Christian, she was a member of the First Methodist Church on Victoria.
She is predeceased by her parents and a sister, Mary Jane McKinzie.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Dr. Reuben E. Koenig of Kerrville her children, Richard L. Koenig, Karen Koenig and Kenneth M. Koenig, all of Kerrville.
There will be a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home, 1801 E. Red River Rd in Victoria on Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 1011AM.
Funeral services will follow at the Colonial Funeral Home at 11. Committal services will be at Odd Fellows Rest, Columbus, TX at 3PM on September 9, 2010.
The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a local humane society or the charity of ones choice.
