KERRVILLE Frances Mary Johnson, 96, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Friday, January 3, 2014 at a local hospital in Kerrville, Texas. Frances was born on July 25, 1917 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Charles and Frances Amanda Manning Allen.

After growing up in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she married John Johnson on April 22, 19. She preferred to be called Mary by all who knew her. By her husbands side, she traveled to many fascinating countries and cities. Her favorite by far was London, England where they lived for several months.

Mary was a wonderful host for many business dinners and parties. Her smile would light up a room when she entered. All of her grandchildren called her GG and have wonderful memories that will last forever.

We will all love and miss you more than words can say. You were the needle sewing the threads of the family to keep us safe and together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, a sister, niece, and a great niece.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her son, Randy Johnson and daughter, Jan Skeen, both of Kerrville, Texas granddaughters, Jennifer, Michelle, Amanda, Sara, and Courtney 11 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren 3 very special nieces and their families, along with many other friends and neighbors who will miss her dearly.

There will be no local services at this time per her wishes.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Hill Country Youth Ranch or a Disabled Veteran organization of ones choice.
