Frances G. Holder, 96, who shared her love with all who knew her, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2003, at a local care facility in Kerrville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Lillian Garrett, sisters Ethel Kaspar and Elizabeth Brown, and by her devoted husband of 64 years, Dee Holder. She is survived by sons, Karl Holder of Hunt and David Holder of Kerrville daughter and soninlaw, Blythe and Bill Thomas of Hunt grandsons and their families, Philip and Brandi Capps and children Addison and Julian of Austin, Michael and Lisa Capps and children Dylan and Emma of Dallas three stepgrandsons and their families numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends.Frances was born in Corsicana, TX where she grew up. She attended SMU and George Washington University. She worked for the US Government both in Washington D.C. and California before returning to Dallas where she married Dee Holder and reared her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She taught everyone she touched how to love by her Christlike example. She was an active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church of Dallas, and in the local community. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and traveling.Frances and Dee moved to Kerrville in January, 2000, and joined the Hunt United Methodist Church on Palm Sunday of 2001. A memorial service will be held there on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 11:00AM. The Rev. John Green will officiate.
