Flossie Knowles

Kerrville Mrs. Flossie B Webb Knowles, 81, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Saturday, May 21, 2011.

Born in Mills County, TX on November 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Dixie W. and Maggie Mae Hawkins Webb. She had been a resident of Kerrville for many years.

A graduate of Goldthwaite High School, Class of 1947, she married Othal C. Knowles on July 1, 1949.

She was manager of R.B. Bagley Sons Pecan Orchard for 9 years.

In her spare time, Mrs. Knowles enjoyed sewing , reading and fishing. She enjoyed always telling family and friends about the time she went fishing with her husband and caught a fish bigger than the one he caught.

Family was important to her and she loved to laugh and visit with them any chance she got.

Mrs. Knowles is predeceased by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Virginia Knowles Casey of Keller, TX her grandchildren, Kent Casey of Atlanta, GA and Shonna Casey Fitzgerald of Hunt, TX, 3 great grandchildren, Tyler Casey, Hope Casey and Laurel Fitzgerald along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1PM at Hurst Ranch Cemetery, Star, TX.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of ones choice
