Florine Russell

Kerrville Florine Theresa Gallagher Russell, 87, of Kerrville, Texas who entered into rest on January 16, 2003 at a local care center, was born to Michael Gallagher and Julie Buckley Gallagher in Kansas City, Mo. on October 23, 1915. After graduation from St. Josephs Nursing School in Kansas City, she entered the United States Army Nurse Corp at Denver, Colorado in 19. After her disability discharge, she married Leon Wilder in Denver in 1959, who preceded her in death in 1983. She had moved to Kerrville in 1972. Mrs. Russell later married John T. Russell in Kerrville on May 15, 1985.Mrs. Russell was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, the Retired Army Nurse Corp, the Retired Officers Association, and the Disabled American Veterans.She is survived by her loving husband, John T. Russell of Kerrville a sisterinlaw, Joan Coviello of Conn. several nieces and nephews and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.The Rosary will be held at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 6:00 PM. A celebration of Christian Mass will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Monday, January 20, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Father Mike Boulette, celebrant. Interment will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
