Kerrville The Good Lord called home a special angel, Evelyn Inez Wimberly Mays on Friday, December 12, 2008, attended by her devoted daughter, Dovie.She was born in Spicewood, TX to Julia and Ira Wimberly on April 16, 1915. She married Robert Paul Bob Mays, Jr. on August 10, 1931 in Marble Falls, TX. Of this union, she had 8 loving children whom she cherished endlessly. Bob preceded her in death on June 1, 1971 in Kerrville, TX.Many knew her also as quotShotgun Evelynquot......she loved her many flowers, working 1,000 piece puzzles and crocheting.
