Ethel Phea

Kerrville Ethel White Phea, 91, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on November 22, 2010.

Born in Maysfield, TX on October 29, 1919, she was the daughter of Merritt and Ida Estelle Green White. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1987.

On November 21, 1959, she married Rev. Andy L. Phea in Sweetwater, TX. This union lasted 50 years, until his passing November 28, 2009.

Mrs. Phea was a devoted Christian and served every church her husband ministered at. She was also an LPN and LVN for many years and was well respected in her career.

She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phea will be greeted in Heaven by her beloved husband, her parents 5 sisters, Costella Abner, Vedessa Hodge, Mary Drones,Cleo Staten and Christina Saddler 3 brothers, L.C. White, Edward White and Joel White, and a host of family and friends.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, Daniel L. Phea and his wife, Judy, of Kerrville her foster son, Vernon Arrant of SC her church family and many other friends.

ation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 5:007:00PM.

A funeral service will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Kerrville, on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev, Noah Diggs, pastor of the church, officiating. Committal service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.

The family suggest that memorials in her name be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
