Kerrville Ethel E. Corcoran Knapp, 88, of Kerrville and formerly of Big Spring, TX, passed from this life at a local health care center on Thursday evening, October 15, 2009.

Born in Big Spring, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Susan Martha Porter Corcoran. She had lived in Kerrville since 2000, moving here from Big Spring.

Mrs. Knapp worked for the US Air Force as a secretary for many years, first in Washington, DC, then moving back to Big Spring and working there at the Webb Air Force Base.

On June 26, 1942, she married Joe Franklin Knapp in Washington, DC.

A life member of the VFW, she was also a member and past president of the DAV Auxiliary. She volunteered at the VA Hospital in Big Spring.

Mrs. Knapp was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Big Spring and was a member of the Alter Society.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and a great grandson, Alexander Badura.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her son and daughterinlaw, John F and Melody Knapp of Kerrville 2 granddaughters, Denise Knapp of Washington, DC and Michelle Badura of Omaha, NE and a great grandson, Robert Badura of Omaha, NE.

ation will be at Kerrville Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2009 from 24 PM.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Big Spring, on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:30PM.

Floral arrangements are acceptable, or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
