Kerrville Ervin Ralph Butler, 93, of Kerrville, TX went home to the Lord on Friday, February 29, 2008 at a Local Care Center in Kerrville, TX. Born on September 22, 1914 in Houston, TX, he was the son of James A. and Alvina Binz Butler.He was a devoted Christian who blessed many lives with Bible study, prayer ministry, and 60 years of teaching Sunday School. He confidently made the journey he taught.A fine craftsman, as a Master Bender for Texas Pipe in Pasadena, TX, he logged every bend in his career, creating an honored reference to be used by those who came after him. He loved to build, everything from shop furniture to flower beds. He helped extend the walking trail at The Highlander in Kerrville where he and Nellene were the first occupants in 1990.Preceding him in death were his parents his wife Nellene of 53 years brothers, James, William, and Warren Butler and a sister, Evelyn Bradley.He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors. Open visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, from 8 AM 5 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2008. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bryan Brown, Rev. Don Raschke, and Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating.
