Ernest Martinez

Ingram Ernest T. Martinez, 49, of Ingram, passed from this life at his home on Sunday morning, February 7, 2010.

Born in Mason, TX on January 5, 1961, he was the son of Pablo Torres and Asuncion Martinez. He had lived in Ingram for many years.

He worked at the Kerrville State Hospital for many years as a CNA and had also worked in the construction field in Kerrville.

Ernie will be missed by all the family and friends who have grown accustomed to his helping hand, his bright smile and his gentle heart. His life was all too brief for those who treasured special moments with him. He enjoyed going to the river and fishing anywhere at any time. Most of all, he liked to watch the Dallas Cowboys.

Ernie had a special place in his heart for Elijah Sky Aguirre, Alexandria and Malachi Gracia and Anissa and Ashley. He loved them and thought they were his own grandchildren.

He always wanted people around him to enjoy life with him.

Ernie will be loved and missed.

Mr. Martinez was predeceased by his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Anita AguirreMartinez of Ingram his children, Cindy Sierra and her husband, Lucas, of Kerrville, Sybil Jimenez of Kerrville, Alex Ontiveros of Kerrville, Natasha Henderson of Arlington, TX, Raymond Martinez of Raymondville, TX, Ernestine Martinez of Ingram, Jamie Martinez of Kerrville and John Aguirre of Harlingen his 13 grandchildren his grandmother, Anita Lopez of Fredericksburg his brothers, Juan Arreola of San Antonio, Albert Martinez and his wife, Maxine, of Richland Hills, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rhonda Link and Maria Charnichart for their loving care and support.

The family will receive friends from 56PM followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00PM at Kerrville Funeral Home Main Chapel on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.

Graveside services will be private in Mason, TX.


The family suggests that donations in his name be made to the charity of ones choice.
