Kerrville Emma Maurer Lapham, 92, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully on January 29, 2004 at a local hospital in Kerrville, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born December 29, 1911 in Marion, Illinois, the 8th of 9 children to the late Frank and Mary Wall Maurer.Her parents immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1890. They settled in Nebraska, where her father was ordained in the Evangelica Lutheran Church in 1895.Mrs. Lipham was a 40 year resident of Kerrville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star.She is survived by her daughter, Beverly and her husband, Dale Rollins granddaughters, Christina Emma Turner, Victoria Marie French and her husband James V. French her friend and devoted caregiver of many years, Betty Punzel and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.Private Family Graveside Services will be on Monday, February 2, 2004 at Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Buran Phillips, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Kerrville, Texas, officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the local Alzheimers Association, 320 Sideny Baker, Kerrville, Texas 78028 or to the Charity of ones choice.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
