EmEtta Lafitte

EmEtta Essex Lafitte, 64 of Kerrville, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville.

Mrs. Lafitte was born June 26, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the daughter of William and Freda Stiles Essex. She married Eugene Lafitte on October 19, 1968 in CardiffBy the Sea, California.

Mrs. Lafitte retired as a Registered Nurse having worked at the Shriners Childrens Hospital in Shreveport, LA for more than 10 years. After retiring from her nursing career, she moved to Kerrville where she was a volunteer and very active at the Dietert Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Eugene one son, Eugene Lafitte, II and his wife, Nikki of Nacogdoches, TX one sister, Larna Jean Annison of Dallas, TX and two grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville with Reverend Mel Hardin officiating. The family will have a private interment.

The family suggests that a memorial in her name to The Dietert Senior Center, 451 Guadalupe Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
