Ellen Dalrymple

San Angelo Ellen Frances Dalrymple, 81, of San Angelo, TX and formerly of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on Friday evening, December 14, 2007 at a San Angelo care center. Born on February 25, 1926 in Jamaica, NY, she was the daughter of Harry N. and Ann V. Kelly Christoffers.In her younger years, Ellen was an Administrative Assistant, working for General Electric. She married Byron W. Dalrymple on April 30, 1949. She and Byron lived in Wolverine, MI, until moving to Kerrville, TX in 1957. Ellen was a housewife and an assistant to her outdoor writer husband. Ellen was well known for her significant volunteer work with the ButtHoldsworth Memorial Library, the Hill Country Arts Foundation, and at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She was a gentle, kind, loving wife, mother and friend to all.Preceding her in death are her parents and loving husband along with her only sister, Carol Patterson.Surviving her are sons, Mike Dalrymple and wife Janice and Terry Dalrymple and wife Lorraine grandchildren, Michael Dalrymple and wife Cindy, Rebecca Dalrymple, Joshua Dalrymple and wife Sarah, Phillip Dalrymple and Sarah Dalrymple greatgrandchildren, Reid and Lane Dalrymple cousin Grace Malley along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with visitation following.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kerrville, TX.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Ellen to the ButtHoldsworth Memorial Library, 505 Water Street, Kerrville, TX 78028, or to a Hospice of ones choice.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
