Ella “Rae” Colvin Logan of Kerrville and formerly of Ingram Texas passed away on January 26, 2022. Rae was born to George Ray and Ella Geissler Colvin on March 15, 1935 in Hutchinson, Kansas where her father played AAU basketball. She grew up on a farm near Turkey, Hall County, Texas. She attended Turkey School System graduating in 1953. That fall Rae entered West Texas State University and went to work for the City of Amarillo at the City Court.
Rae married Carroll Mulloy in January 1959 and became stepmom to Carroll’s daughter Suzy. In 1963 they moved to Folsom, California and Rae went to work for Folsom High School as their Registrar clerk. In the twenty years she worked at Folsom High School, she was very involved in community activities as well as the local Rainbow Runners club.
In February 1988, she married Jack Logan and moved to Muleshoe, Texas. Rae joined the local ladies Chamber of Commerce and attended First Baptist Church. Once retired, Rae and Jack moved to Ingram, Texas where Rae served in many different roles with her Jubilee Sunday School Class and the Prime-Time choir.
Rae will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Suzy; her parents; brother, George Colvin (Buddy) and sister, Etwoile Hamilton (Tweedle). She is survived by her sister, Judy Morrison of Lubbock Texas; her stepchildren, Jeff Logan of Long Beach, California and Laura Dishman of Midland, Texas; four grandchildren; Chris Logan and Jack Logan of California and Logan Dishman and Lexxi Dishman of Midland, Texas; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday February 1, 2022 at Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey, TX with Jimmy Ross officiating.
