Elizabeth Mann

Elizabeth Barnett Mann, age 82, died peacefully on February 28, 2014, in San Antonio, TX. Betty was born on August 19, 1931, to Mary Melton Barnett and Joseph Sheppard Barnett, Jr. in Waco, TX.

After graduating from Waco High in 1949, she attended the University of Texas in Austin. In 1951, she married Joe Mann, also of Waco, and together raised three children in Dallas, TX. After her husbands retirement in 1992, she and Joe moved to Kerrville, TX.

Bettys hobbies included reading, nutrition and exercise, and caring for fortunate stray cats. She made excellent pies.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe Mann of Kerrville, TX, daughter Mary MannGilbert and husband Tim of Incline Village, NV, son John William Mann and wife Cheryl of Collegeville, PA, daughter Maggie Longley and husband Joe K. of Austin, TX, and three grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Bernstein, Austin Scott Mann, and Carrie Lynn Mann.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
