Elizabeth Keith

Kerrville Mrs. Elizabeth L. Keith, 86, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local Kerrville hospital on Wednesday, January 4, 2012.

Born in Little York, TX on October 31, 1925, she was the daughter of Harry and Jenny Dupper Marlo. She had been a resident of Kerrville for many years, living in the Turtle Creek community from 1977 until 2009. Due to her health, she moved to her son and daughterinlaws home in Kerrville, where she lived for the past 1 12 years. She loved living there and being able to spend time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Keith was a member of the Turtle Creek Community Church.

She loved flowers and gardening and even when she was 83 years old, would spend time outside on the lawn tractor whether or not the lawn needed mowing.

She is predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Russell A. Rector, Sr., her second husband, Nathaniel Keith, a grandson, Jonathan R. Rector in 1989, a brother, James and a sister Lucille.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, James E. Rector and his wife, Joy, of Kerrville her son Russell Rector and his wife, Mary Ann, of Somerville 2 grandsons, Evan Rector of Kerrville and Kenneth Vrazel of College Station, TX and a granddaughter, Destiny Appell of WA.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1PM at Kerrville Funeral Home. A private committal service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.

The family would like to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their love and compassionate caring of Elizabeth, and have suggested that donations in her name be made to Odyssey Hospice.
