Elfreda Rose

KERRVILLE Elfreda M. Rose, 105, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life in Kerrville on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Elfreda was born on December 26, 1907 in Ionia, MI to Forrest A. Little and Ruth May Steele. On October 15, 1928, she married James P. Rose in Kerrville at the Church or Christ.

Shortly after marriage, James and Elfreda moved to the Walch place in Hunt, TX where James worked raising sheep. James and Elfreda were later hired by Mr. Lamar Fleming to take care of what is now known as the Fleming Ranch. This is where they lived and worked until James passing in October of 1991, after James and Elfreda had been married for 63 years. Elfreda took over as care taker of the ranch until 2002 when due to her health she moved in to assisted living apartment.
Elfreda is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Rose parents, Forrest and Ruth Little sisters, Ruth Little Montgomery, and Louise Little brothers, Stanley Little, and Andrew Little daughter, Merilyn Little Ender and greatgrand son, James Lee Ender.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her grandson, Gilbert Ender Jr. granddaughter, Carolyn Ender Bryan and husband Vaughn great grandchildren, Trey Ender III, Rachael S. Ender, Melissa Bryan Izzett and husband Chris, Eric Bryan and wife Elisha, Patrick Bryan and wife Kelly great great great grandchildren, Ashley Izzett, Emma Rose Bryan and Marlin Bryan adopted grandchildren, Mary and L.H. Bolduc and family, Clare Sprunt and family, Sandra Wachter and family.
In lieu of floral tributes, contributions may be made in her memory to the River Side Church of Christ in Kerrville, 625 Harper Road, Kerrville, TX 78028 or to the Medina Childrens Home, 21300 State Highway 16, Medina, TX 78055.

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Elfreda M. Rose will be held in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028 on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10 AM with Jacob Hawk, Minister of Riverside Church of Christ officiating. ation will be held on Monday April 29, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home.
