Edna Adele Holland, 95, Passed away of natural causes on November 6, 2013. Edna was the wife and partner for 58 years of the late, Fred Holland, who served two terms as Kerr County Commissioner in the late 1980s.

Edna was born on the 4th of July of 1918 in Homestead, PA. During World War Two, she served the nation in a defense plant in Carson, CA. in 1946 she married Fred Holland Following his discharge from the US Army. They settled in Bel, ME where she resumed work as an agent for the Railway Express Agency. Over the next 35 years, Edna and Fred had three children Geoffrey, Jill and Jay. During those years, Fred Holland received a succession of management promotions that took Edna and family from Maine to New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Kansas City, Seattle, then Dallas, and finally Houston. On retirement, Edna and Fred relocated to Kerrville, where they spent the next 29 years.

In addition to successfully raising a family, Edna was an accomplished ceramics artist and oil painter.

Edna Holland is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and her first great grandchild.

A Memorial service will be held at the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11 AM. Inurnment will be held in Kerrville on a date to be determined.
