E. Riopelle

E. Peter Riopelle, 97, of Kerrville, formerly of Long Beach, CA, entered into rest September 23, 2004 at his residence. Mr. Riopelle was born September 9, 1907 in Argyle, Minnesota to Louis and Lydia Riopelle. He worked for Texaco for 50 years and was also a real estate agent. He was a Catholic, a lifetime member of the Long Beach Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree, and a member of the Elks Lodge. He loved traveling with his companion Naomi Ingram, and writing about all of his travels. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, and sitting in his back yard enjoying the garden. He was a resident of Kerrville for sixteen years.He is preceded in death by his wife, Cleone Charlotte Riopelle, three sisters, seven brothers, and two children, Jeanine and Marc.He is survived by his dear friend and companion, Naomi Ingram of Kerrville son, Gene Riopelle of Silverton, Oregon daughter, Joy Nichols of Santa Maria, California seven grandchildren, David Riopelle, Cathy Rosenbahm, Deborah Riopelle, Forrest Riopelle, Pam McCarty, Kim Gay, and Shannon Day and nine great grandchildren.Services will be at a later date in Long Beach, CA where final rest will be in All Souls Cemetery. No local services will be held. Memorials may be made to Vistacare Hospice, 420 Water St., Suite 104, Kerrville, TX 78028.
