Dovie Jarrard

Kerrville, Texas Dovie D. Jarrard, 88, of Kerrville, Texas passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003. Dovie was born on November 09, 1914 in Park Springs, Texas to William David and Katherine Stubblefield, both deceased.Mrs. Jarrard spent most of her life in the Corpus Christi, Texas area where she spent over 25 years in nursing, of which she was very proud. She was employed by SPHON Hospital. She moved to Kerrville in 1997 for retirement.Mrs. Jarrard was a member of the Morgan Avenue Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Kersey of Kerrville one grandson and one granddaughter and a host of loving friends and neighbors.A Celebration of Remembrance will be held at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Albert Shults, Pastor of Motley Hills Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
