Douglas Wood

Douglas M. Wood, 78, of Kerrville, Texas, passed from this life at a San Antonio Hospital on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Doug was born August 25, 1936 in Blooming Grove, Texas; to parents, Earl and Sallie Wood. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Doug was a dedicated employee working for Gulf States Tube for 32 years. When not working, Doug had many activities and hobbies that he loved. Just to list a few would include, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, hunting, fishing and doing taxidermy.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Sallie Wood.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory, are his beloved wife, Judy Wood; son, Chris Wood of Lufkin, TX; brother, Gary Wood and wife Vicki; sister, Joyce from Houston, TX; and numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of Life Service will be Friday, May 22, 2015, at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church, located at 625 Washington Street Kerrville, Texas.
