Dorothy Packer

Dorothy W. Packer, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully October 18, 2005 at a local hospital at the age of 80. Dorothy was born April 3, 1925 in Memphis, Tennessee to Georgia and William Walker. Dorothy fell in love with Oral Packer as a young woman in Moreno Valley, California and they were married in 1951. She held a special place in her heart for children and even had a neighboring child come to the door to see if she could come out and play. Dorothy relaxed by watching old movies and particularly enjoyed reruns of Gun Smoke and MASH. She also had a passion for gardening and enjoyed watching things grow. Dorothy had a generous, kind nature and was loved by those that knew her. She will be dearly missed and remembered with love.Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 55 years, Oral Packer two sons, Steve and Richard and 3 grandchildren. ation will be 6:00 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home.
