Dorothy McDaniel, 87, of Ingram, Texas passed away peacefully on January 14, 2006 at a local hospital. Ms. McDaniel was born December 11, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan to Gerald and Gertrude Stanton. For over 20 years she worked as a stock broker for Merrill Lynch Financial Services. After retirement she lived her life by giving to others. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Kerrville, and volunteered at C.A.M. She was very devoted to her church, and was always giving to the Kerrville community where she lived for over 19 years. She also was a member of several bridge groups where she was an avid player. She enjoyed traveling and had visited almost every state in the U.S. and most of the countries in Europe. She loved swimming and was an avid outdoor enthusiast. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and faithful friend, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Roberts and husband Jack of LaPorte, TX and Gayle Clemmons and husband Roy of Duncanville, TX sister, Madelyn Berman of Annandale, VA grandchildren, Christopher Clemmons and wife Christina, and Benjamin Roberts and wife Lien greatgrandchildren, Brady, Keelia, and Samantha and nieces and nephews, Scott, Pam, and Steven Ickert.Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2006 at the First Christian Church, 1600 Water Street, in Kerrville, with Rev. Jay Dozier and Rev. Arlie Lammers officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to C.A.M., P.O. Box 291352, Kerrville, Texas 78029.
