Dorothy Laushman

Dorothy Dean Laushman, 79, of Kerrville, TX passed away peacefully on June 1, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Laushman was born August 19, 1924 in Quanah, TX to William B. and Myrtle Bailey. She was raised and attended school in Quanah, TX. She married Leo Laushman Sr. in Wichita Falls, TX in 1951. She attended Drawns Business College in Wichita Falls, she worked for Whites in Wichita Falls as a secretary, the Stephenville School System in custodial service, and the Split Rock Water System in Kerrville, TX as a bookkeeper. She attended the Catholic Church in Comfort, TX. She was a homemaker who enjoyed life. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her family. She is survived by her husband, Leo W. Laushman, Sr. sons, Thomas Ray Hayes and wife Loraine of Marietta, OK, and Leo W. Laushman, Jr. of Kerrville daughter, Jimmie Blackwell and husband Chuck of Kerrville grandchildren, T.R. Hayes, Alex Hayes, Dena Blackwell, and Tara Blackwell.She is preceded in death by her parents and her uncle, Tom E. Williams.Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jack Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 18 Antelope Trail, Kerrville, TX 78028.
