Dorothy Cloudt

KERRVILLE On Monday evening, December 14, 2009, Dorothy Collins Rutherford Cloudt, our beloved mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, greatgreatgrandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away from this life at a local health care facility. She was born on September 15, 1911 and was 98 years old.

She was survived by her daughter, Mauderae quotRodneyquot Greer of Kerrville and her son and daughterinlaw, Walter Jr. and Carol Cloudt of Richmond, VA five grandchildren, Denver and Gitch Greer, Michael, Rebecca, and Joshua Cloudt six greatgrandchildren, Nicole Greer Skyles, John, Nash and Taylor Greer, Jeremy and Ashley Cloudt four greatgreatgrandchildren, Alex Crow, Megan Greenwood, Collin and Caitlin Greer and nephew Ronny Rutherford and niece Tina Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter O. Cloudt, Sr., by her favorite soninlaw Joe Dale Greer and grandson Todd Greer, by her parents W.B. and Maude Rutherford, and by her brothers Luther and March Rutherford.

Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She looked forward to services and celebrating her birthday parties with the ladies of the church. She worked for many years as a beautician both in Borger and Kerrville, TX, where she was owneroperator of several successful beauty parlors. During leisure times, she enjoyed camping, water skiing and fishing with family and friends. Dorothy was renowned for her cooking talent, and enjoyed preparing bountiful meals and desserts for her friends and family. Along with Walter, she made friends everywhere she went and was loved by all who knew her.

and family are invited to attend a ation on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.

On Friday, December 18, 2009, 2:00 PM by a Celebration of Life for Dorothy Cloudt will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, with Rev. Al Horne, officiating.

Interment will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, 10:00 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road 78209. Dorothy will be laid to rest there with her husband Walter.
The family suggests that memorial donations in Dorothys name, be made to the charity of ones choice.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to close friend Wilma Moore and Dorothys granddaughterinlaw Sandra Greer, also Plaza on the River Assisted Care of Kerrville and the Peterson Hospice for all the loving care and support they have shown Dorothy.
