Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico Dorothy Tarrillion Brandt, 86, born November 20, 1923, passed from this life on October 29, 2010 in Ajijic, Mexico. She was born one of five children to parents, Paul Tarrillion Sr. and Augusta Zimmerman Tarrillion in San Antonio, Texas.

Being an Honor Student, she graduated from Ursuline Academy Class of 1941. She was also awarded a scholarship for being highest ranking student in her class. Mrs. Brandt married Clarence W. Brandt on October 2, 1943. First and foremost, she was a housewife, but was employed by USAA for 22 years as a secretary and clerical supervisor, from 1957 to 1979. She took early retirement January 1, 1979.

She and her husband moved to Kerrville in 1982 and enjoyed the life of retirement and traveled the countryside together. While living in Kerrville, she suffered a stroke and heart attack in 2000. She moved to a nursing home in Dallas, Texas to be near family in 2001. In 2006, she moved to a nursing home in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico, to be near one of her daughters.

Preceding her in death were her sisters, Rene Tarrillion Rhodius, and Martha Tarrillion Tips brother Lawrence Tarrillion.

Mrs. Brandt is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Clarence W. Brandt oldest brother, Paul Tarrillion, Jr two daughters, Bonnie Lee born in 1948 and Dottie Lynn born in 1951 six grandchildren, Christopher McNamara, Nicholas McNamara, Benjamin McNamara, Jeremy McNamara, Ryan Alexander, Laurel Alexander along with a host of many friends and extended family.

Catholic Prayer Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Deacon Charles Domingues serving as officiant. Private burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kerrville, Texas.
