Kerrville Doris Marie Motes Kelley, 87, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at a local hospital.

Born in Stamford, TX on October 23, 1922, she was the daughter of William Earl and Bessie Mae Boyles Motes.

She worked in the Hughes Douglas Airplane factory during WWII, on of the Rosie the Riveters. She was the owner of wholesale and retail Christian gift businesses in Los Angeles and Albuquerque. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 2004, moving here from Johnson City, TX where she had lived many years.

Mrs. Kelley was a communicant of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Johnson City and when she moved to Kerrville, was a communicant of Notre Dame Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Neal Kelley in 2001 her daughter, Bonnie Rae LaFrance Wamre, in 1997 her parents her twin brother, Horace Lee Motes and her sisters, Edna Earl Motes Sharpe and Nina Mae Motes Rambo.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Robert Frances Muniz of OK, Marisa Ann Muniz Port of CO great grandsons Benjamin Port and Mason Brown, and great granddaughters Meagan Taryn and Peightln Muniz a niece, Skipper Sharpe Willmann of Kerrville, TX 2 nephews, Carl A. Rambo of Tyler, TX and Ronald Ray Sharpe of Austin, TX, along with a host of great and grand nieces and nephews, many loving friends and neighbors.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held for her at Kerrville Funeral Home in the Main Chapel, at 10:00AM on June 4, 2010 with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. Committal services will be held at 2:00PM at Johnson City Cemetery, Johnson City, TX.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Raphael Community Free Clinic, 1807 Water Street, Kerrville, TX 78028 or to the charity of ones choice.
