Dora Mendiola

San Antonio Dora Garces Mendiola, 65, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Monday evening, November 9, 2009.

Born in Kerrville on July 13, 1944, she was the daughter of Pedro Q. and Josephine Rodriquez Garces. She had lived most of her life in Kerrville.

She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and sister, making her family come first.

Mrs. Mendiola was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, Pedro and Jose and a sister Cecilia.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her husband, Erasmo Mendiola Jr of Kerrville her daughters, Adelina Meyners of Kerrville and Irma Garza of San Antonio her son, Gabriel Lerma of Rocksprings, TX 6 grandchildren 4 brothers, Rev. Daniel Garces, Jerry Garces, Jimmy Garces and Henry Garces all of Kerrville 2 sisters, Lic.Virginia Castillo and Lucy Aquirra both of Kerrville and many nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday evening, November 12, 2009 at 6PM.

A funeral service will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 1:00PM. Committal service will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery, Kerrville.

The family suggests that contributions be made to the The Cancer Center, 4411 Medical Dr, San Antonio, TX.
