Dona Green

Mrs. Dona Jean Green, 75, of Bandera, Texas passed from this life on October 12, 2012 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
Dona was born on April 17, 1937 in the Gem Community to Paul and Frances Bachmann Ramsey. Dona grew up the Gem Community attending school at Blue Ridge and graduated from Canadian High School with the class of 1955. She was a member of the Gem Baptist Church. She married Jerry Green in 1956 in a ceremony at home. Jerry then started his 24 year career with the U.S. Air Force. They had one son, Chris and lived in many states as well as overseas. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Dona is preceded in death by her parents sister, Pauline Walker two brothers, John Lewis and David Paul Ramsey niece, Janie Robertson and greatnephew, David Grigg.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Green of the home in Bandera her son, Chris Green of Aurora, CO two grandchildren, Austin and Jessica Green of Colorado greatgrandchild, Makenzie of Colorado niece, Kathy Grigg and husband Robert of Gentry, AR 3 nephews, John Walker and wife Judy of Canadian J.L Ramsey of Eagle Rock, MO Jim Ramsey of Rogers, AR 2 sistersinlaw, Lou Ann White and husband Keith of Lubbock, Nadine Ramsey of Rogers, AR plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, October 22, 2012 at the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with chaplain Jim Carpenter officiating.
