Dian Winstead

CORPUS CHRISTI Dian Y. Winstead, 65, of Corpus Christi, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with her loving family holding her. Dian was born in Laredo, Texas on November 26, 1948 to Horacio Ortiz and Maria A. Griffin.

She graduated high school from the Incarnate Word Academy and attended Delmar College. She married her friend and the love of her life, Michael Jerome Winstead on July 27, 1974.

She is preceded in death by her father, Horacio Ortiz, stepfather, Joe Griffin and brother, Richard Ortiz.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her husband, Michael Jerome Winstead her children, Amy Christy Keith Tucker, Leticia Myra Michael Bailey, Lucinda Robyn Winstead, Aaron Michael Jerome Winstead her mother, Maria A. Griffin her sisters, Marina Eugene Brown and Belinda De Los Santos grandchildren, Alaura Frances, Kyle Brandon, David Jerome DJ and Mikayla Myra, and close family friend, Mark Eric Perez.

A ation will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5620 Gollihar Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412 on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 5:45 6:45 PM. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10 AM. There will be a private family Inurnment at a later date.
