Denis Long

Denis Long, 77, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on December 28, 2015 at a local hospital.

Denis was born April 16, 1938 to Eugene and Theresa Long in Chicago, IL. He served his country in the US Air Force and retired from civil service with the US Army. Denis enjoyed driving his classic cars; his past favorites included a 1978 Avanti and a Corvair. He collected model trains and especially enjoyed repairing and painting them. Denis loved his dogs, Apache, and his 4 Brussels Griffon: Petey, Ruby, Ben and Louie.

Denis is preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Long; his parents; and sister.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 16 years, Kathie Long; sons, Cornell Long and wife Pam of Schertz; Tony Long of Alamogordo, NM; and Scott Long of Alamogordo, NM; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
