Deloris Posey

Deloris Posey, age 93, of Kerrville passed away Monday, February 17, 2003 at a San Antonio hospital. Mrs. Posey was born in Victoria, Texas to Will Gipson and Mozella Atwood Gipson on August 12, 1909. Mrs. Posey was an active member of the Kerrville community for many years. She served on the Kerrville ISD Board of Trustees from 1973 to 1975, was Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Lodge 198, was a member of the Heart of the Hills Lions Club, and was pianist as well as a Deaconess at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church for numerous years. Deloris enjoyed traveling. She really enjoyed traveling with the members of the Senior Citizens Trips and with them visited 13 countries around the World.Mrs. Posey is survived by her husband Charles Posey of Kerrville, son Frank White, Jr. of Englewood, CA stepdaughter Delores Graham of York, PA adopted daughters Cynthia Louise Simmons of San Antonio and Marion Owens of Kerrville grandchildren Kenneth White, Frank White III, and Lenn White grandbabies Jessica Simmons, Raymond Simmons, and Charles Vernon Shield nieces and nephews Tanya Wiggs, Tom Wiggs and Trudy Beard as well as other nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends.
