Kerrville Major David B. Meredith, USAF, Ret., 87, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Saturday, December 5, 2009.
Born in Houston, PA on February 27, 1922, he was the son of David S. and Edith Douglas Meredith.
Major Meredith served in the US Air Force during WWII and retired after many years of service to his country. After his retirement, he went to work as a Traffic Controller for the FAA for 18 years.
He was a 50 year Mason and was a member of the Kerrville Masonic Lodge.
Major Meredith was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville.
He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Etta Speakman Meredith.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Vicki Meredith of Albuquerque, NM two granddaughters, Kristen Thome and her husband, Vincent, of Albuquerque, NM and Heather Mosher and her husband, Jonathan, of Flagstaff, AZ a great granddaughter, Ryann of Albuquerque, NM four brothers, Lloyd Meredith and his wife, Lois, of Kingwood, TX, Donald Meredith and his wife, Claire of McMurray, PA, Bob Meredith and his wife, Phil, of Mytle Beach, SC and Larry Meredith and his wife, Lois, of FL many nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation.
A celebration of his life will be held at Masonic Lodge of Kerrville, Methodist Encampment Rd, on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11:00AM.
