David Fry

David Lloyd Fry, 64, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on December 20, 2014 at his home in Kerrville, Texas. David was born December 25, 1949 to Raymond and Jo An Fry in Youngstown, Ohio.

David grew up in Petersburg, Ohio and graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. Shortly after graduating, David was drafted into the United States Army where he served one tour in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged in Ft. Hood, Texas, David continued to serve his country and fellow veterans for thirtyfour years as a registered nurse at the Kerrville V.A. Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Fry and son, Travis Fry.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife JoAnn, son Clinton (Jessica), stepsons Christopher Cardwell (Sarah) and Shawn Cardwell (Elizabeth). The light of his life were his grandchildren Codey, Jacob and Emily. David is also survived by family still living in the Youngstown, Ohio area which include, his mother Jo An Pucci, brother, Larry Fry (Paulette) and sisters Becky Milhoan (Ben), Betti Piper, Lucy Burtner and Barbara Moore of Houston.

A celebration of life will be held at 5PM, December 29, 2014 in the historical Union Church in Kerrville, Texas. It was Davids wish that those attending feel free to share any special memories they may have of him at the gathering.

A Memorial Service will be held in Petersburg, Ohio on a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of ones choice.
