Darrell Wayne Cantwell, 70, of Fredericksburg, TX passed from this life on Sunday, January 3, 2016.
Darrell Wayne Cantwell was born in Kerrville, Texas on March 17, 1945. He grew up at MO Ranch in Hunt and attended Tivy High School, where he played in the band. He attended the University of Houston and graduated from Angelo State University with a master's degree in accounting. During and just after high school, he worked as a bookkeeper for Moore's Lumber Yard in Ingram.
During his working life, he was employed by several companies, both local and statewide as a bookkeeper-accountant. His last job was with Maxx Aire in Kerrville. Darrell enjoyed traveling to Russia in the 1970's, when travel there was very difficult to arrange. He never forgot a face or a name and had many friends, both locally and nationwide.
Darrell held very strong opinions and was never shy in expressing his views. However, he was always willing to discuss and debate these opinions with others. Any project or task he accepted, he saw through to the end. He was a determined, hard working person, a true friend through time and distance.
Darrell is proceeded in death by his parents Opal Graham and Addison Cantwell and his uncle Jim Cantwell of Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Cantwell is survived by his unofficial sister Portia Smart Leuba, her husband Donovan Leuba, and Brandon Kiker as well as his Aunt Marian Cantwell of Denver Colorado.

Celebration of life services will be conducted Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the main chapel at Kerrville Funeral Home,1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas, 78028.
