Danny E Miller Bridges 65 years old, a longtime Kerrville resident, passed into the arms of our Lord on the 30th of October 2015. He was at home when he passed, surrounded by his family.
Dan was born on February 15, 1950 in Savannah Georgia. He grew up in Kerrville, Texas and went to school at Tivy High School until he enlisted in the Navy at 17 years old. Dan served as a Helmsman aboard the USS Forrestal until separating from the Navy after his enlistment ended. He ran a successful landscaping business in Kerrville until his death.
Dan was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, and had a great love of horticulture, birds, and of course horses, which he kept at his cousin Gary and Sherry Woottons ranch.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Ezekiel Miller, his step-father, James "Jimmy" Bridges, USAF, RET, two step brothers, James W. Bridges, Jr. USA, RET. and Michael C. Bridges, USMC, RET.
He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline "Jackie" W. Bridges, his sister, Jacqueline Annette Bridges, his brother James Richard "Rick" Bridges and his wife, Denise Perkins Bridges,his step-sister, Gayle Bridges Sheffield and her husband, Alan Sheffield, his nieces, Brandy Bridges, Megan Bridges Carrie Wilson-Bridges and Kimberlee Berkbigler, and Christine Callaghan. Nephews, Tyson Wahrmund, Michael "Mike" Bridges, David Parker, Jack Callaghan, Justin Bridges and Ryan Bridges. He is also survived by great nieces, Kaylee Wahrmund, Bella Bridges, Damia Bamer and Sophia Parker, great nephews, Travis and Austin Wahrmund, Bryce Berkbigler, Cory Bridges, Bryce Parker and Seth Clary. He will be missed by his Aunts and Uncles, many cousins as well as close friends Trey and Rachel Crook and Mark Rent.
The family request memorial donations made in his name to Peterson Hospice and will have private celebration of life services.
