Daniel Ryan, Sr.

nbspDaniel Frederick Ryan, Sr., 80, Seattle native and long time resident of Redmond, passed away on Nov. 4, 2008 in Kerrville, TX.nbspMr. Ryan was born on Aug. 1, 1928 in Seattle to parents, Frederick amp Jean Ryan. He married Josephine Ryan in June1951 in Seattle. He served his country in the US Air Force retiring after 20 years. In Redmond, he had two long careers: one as a stone mason at Olympia Stone and another as an associate at Ernst Hardware where he retired. After retirement he enjoyed crossword puzzles, poetry, and spending time with his beloved dog, Chin. He was a robust storyteller, and a solitary, but thoughtful man.nbspHe is preceded in death by his wife, and a twin brother, Richard.nbspHe is survived by four children, Daniel Ryan, II of Livingston, TX Sharon Tompkins of Kerrville, Texas Shawn Ryan of Lynnwood, WA and Gary Ryan of Redmond, WA 10 grandchildren 6 greatgrandchildren brother, Jerry Ryan of Houston, TX and 3 sisters, Pat Spier, Kathleen Zesbaugh, and Mary Ann Lee all of Washington.nbspPrivate family services will be held at a later date.
