Dan Vernon Simmons

 Dan Vernon Simmons, 63, went to be with the Lord on June 18th, 2023 in Ingram, Texas. He was born on December 26th, 1959 in San Antonio. Dan was a kind, generous, and optimistic person who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and fixing things. He possessed a deep sense of empathy, and had a passion for helping everyone and everything he could, person or animal alike. He graduated from Pearland High School in 1978, and attended Alvin Community College. Dan’s primary occupation was in HVAC installation and repairs, and he ran a small business for many years. He also served his community as an electrician, mechanic, and general contractor. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Simmons.

Dan is survived by his son, Dan Simmons II; his daughters, Sarah Hartgraves and Emily Simmons; nephew, Thomas Anderson; grandchildren, Silas and Sasha Hartgraves, and Benjamin Simmons; sister, Laurel Kelley.

A service will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 11 am at the House of Prayer in Ingram. May his family and friends find comfort during this difficult time.
