Dale Douglass

Dale L. Douglass, 74, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on September 23, 2006 at a local hospital.Mrs. Douglass was born on December 6, 1931 in Chillicothe, Texas to Roy and Grace Lankford. She grew up and attended school in Chillicothe. After graduating high school she moved to Lubbock where she met Frank Douglass they were married March 1, 1951. They settled in Euless in 1955 where she owned and operated Euless Florist for years. In Euless, she was active in the First United Methodist Church and also the Garden Club. Ten years ago Dale and Frank retired to Kerrville where they joined the First United Methodist Church and the Keystone Sunday School Class. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bridge, and working crossword puzzles. She and her husband loved to travel, especially in their RV, and have both visited all fifty states. Dale was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and special friend. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Stephen Douglass.She is survived by her husband, Frank son, Dr. Cary Douglass and wife Amanda of Austin grandchildren, Will and Nick Douglass niece, Nelda Scott nephews, Tommy Gene Lankford and Cotton Lankford and her extended family, Victor and Martha Milting, Margaret Hivick, June Graves, and Fred and Sybil Ricketts, all of the midcities area. ation will be held from 68:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville with Rev. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Bob Roark, Todd Bock, Cotton Lankford, Tommy Gene Lankford, Dobbie Dobson, and Sam Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Milting and Fred Ricketts.
