San Marcos Curtis Lynn Wilson, 79, of San Marcos, TX and formerly of Bandera, TX, passed from this life on Friday, February 24, 2012 at an assisted living center in San Marcos.

Born on February 23, 1933 in Coleman County, TX, he was the son of Charles and Barbara Downey Wilson and was raised in Coleman County, Texas. He was a graduate of Mozell High School.

He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

After the services, he moved to the Dallas area where he worked many years in the construction business, until he found his way to the Texas Hill Country, or quotGods Countryquot as he always said. He owned and operated quotHilltopquot in Fredericksburg for many years and when he retired, moved to Bandera.

During his retirement, he logged many miles and many years in motor homes, touring the USA. He ended up in Kerrville for a while and when the time came, he moved to San Marcos, to be closer to his only child, Connie Wood.

He is predeceased by his parents, and his wife, Lahree Wilson.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Connie Wood and her husband, John, of Kyle his granddaughter, Jessica and her husband, Doug and their children, Lucius and Aurora, his quotadoptedquot grandchildren, Kari and her husband, Todd, and their children, John Robert and Miranda, and Kristi and her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Abby his sister, Lovell Rosson of Hillsboro, TX and nieces and nephews.

ation was at Kerrville Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 12PM followed by a celebration of his life at the funeral home at 2PM. Committal services were held at Bandera Cemetery, Bandera, TX.

For those wishing to make a memorial contribution in his honor, they may be made to a Methodist Church of choice or charity of choice.
