Corinne Harris

Kerrville Corinne H. Harris, 93, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local health care facility on June 13, 2011.

Born in Canton, TX on November 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Oscar and Alpha Buyher Horton. She had been a resident of Kerrville for the past few years, coming here from Fredericksburg where she had lived for 15 years.

Mrs. Harris worked as a bank teller, a bookkeeper and then was a secretary for various doctors offices and retired as a legal secretary, working for law firms in the San Antonio area.

A woman of faith, she was very independent, not wanting to bother others for help, but willing to help others.

She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Lendsy Harris, and 4 brothers, JT, Love, Berlin and Kenneth.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sister and brotherinlaw, Mae and Paul Alfred of Kerrville along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, San Marcos on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 12:30PM with Rev. Ray Altman, officiating.

The family suggests that donations be made to Peterson Hospice.
