Waco Major US Army Ret. Clifton David Popo Tenberg, 78, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on Friday, March 28, 2008 at a Waco VA Facility. Born on February 1, 1930 in Shiner, TX, he was the son of Edwin and Johanna Boedecker Tenberg.Mr. Tenberg joined the US Army at the age of 16. He was a highly decorated veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Gertrud Friede Koschenz on August 18, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Kerrville, TX. Together they moved as a military family to many places around the country and world. Retiring at the age of 38 at the rank of Major, he moved his wife and daughter back to Kerrville to be close to his mother. A second retirement came to fruition in 1994 after spending a number of years working for the US Postal Service, Kerrville, TX. His focus for his second retirement was to spend time with his grandsons, which was the joy of his life. He also enjoyed hunting and ranching.Preceding him in death are his parents brothers, James Tenberg and Edwin Tenberg, Jr.He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gertrud daughter, Tina Moseley and husband Mike grandsons, Kaleb Moseley, Seth Moseley, and Bryce Moseley sisters, Mildred Neusser and Lucille West brother, Clyde Tenberg sisterinlaw, Birdie Mae Tensberg numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.ation will be held from 5 7 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Ft.
