Kerrville Clifford Edward Sharp of Kerrville passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Parsons House Care Center at the age of 75. His parents, Charles and Leda Sharp of Rolla, Missouri preceded him in death.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita Sharp three sons, Carl Sharp and wife, Ying of Kerrville, Mark Sharp and wife, Brenna of Portland, Oregon and Steve Sharp of Tuson, Arizona. Clifford is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Matthew Sharp and wife, Jenna of San Francisco,California, Ian Sharp and Jack sharp children of Steve Sharp of Kerrville, Texas, Ben Greenbaum of Ontario, Canada and Elizabeth Paulsen of Scappoose, Oregonstepchildren of Mark Sharpand one great grandchild Natasha Ivonava Cimmiyotti Paulsen of Scappoose, Oregon step Grandchild of Mark Sharp. Survivors include to sisters, Martha Sharp of St. James, Missouri and Delilah OHaver and husband Harold Holts Summit, Missouri, brothersinlaw Eldon Williams and wife Sandy of Sterling, Illinois and, Ed Williams of Kalona Iowa, Sistersinlaw Ruby Thruman of Freeport, Illinois and Snoma Williams of Rock Falls, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.Clifford was born November 7, 1931 to Charles and Leda Sharp of Vichey,Missouri. Clifford went to school in Vichey and helped his father work the family farm. The Family moved Escondido, California for a brief time in the 1940s before moving to Rolla, Missouri where Clifford lived until he left in 1953 when he was called into service to fight in the Korean War. Clifford was in the Army from 1953 to 1955. During Cliffords service years, his sister, Delilah asked her sisterinlaw , Anita Williams to write him some letters. They corresponded until Clifford left the Army in early 1955. They were married June 22, of that year. After spending a few months in Rolla, Missouri, they moved to Rock falls, Illinois where they lived and raised their boys, Carl, Steve and mark. Cliffords favorite things were spending time with his family and going on camping trips with family and friends. The family worshiped at the 19th Avenue Church of Christ in Sterling, Illinois. Clifford was a steelworker at Northwestern Steel and Wire Company in Sterling, Illinois for thirty years , retiring in 1985 at age 52. A year later Clifford and Anita moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area where they begin a second career, managing apartment complexes. Together Clifford and Anita managed several facilities that catered to the retirement community. Living in The Valley of the Sun allowed Clifford and Anita to be close to their, then only grandchild, Matthew. After ten years of managing apartments, Clifford and Anita moved to Kerrville where they have lived since 1996. This time they worship with the Ingram Church of Christ.A memorial service will be at 3:00p.m. Thursday December 28, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221Junction Hwy Kerrville, Texas with Dale Cowell officiating. Clifford will be honored with a military Color Guard.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cliffords name to Peterson Hospice 1121 Broadway and Parsons House Care Center 808 Guadalupe, both in Kerrville.
