Cleo B. Traweek, 91, of Kerrville, TX passed away August 14, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Traweek was born July 17, 1913 in Moulton, TX to Dan and Ada Burris. She married B. B. Traweek on December 30, 1933 in Beeville, TX. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1995. In the 1930s she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator for eight years. In 1947 she and her husband moved to Ingram where they opened a butcher shop. She worked for Chas Schreiner Co. as a bookkeeper for six years, and also for Pampells as a bookkeeper until 1960. In 1960 she went to work at the Veterans Administration for a period of 15 years. She was a member of the Hunt United Methodist Church in Hunt, Texas, the Hill Country Arts Foundation, and volunteered at the Dietert Claim Organization. She enjoyed quilting and China Painting.Mrs. Traweek is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.She is survived by a son, B. Ray Traweek and his wife Sally of Roseville, CA grandson John B. Traweek of Seattle, WA granddaughter Laura Adair Perrin and husband Steve of Long Beach, CA two greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. Interment will follow in Nichols Cemetery.
