Kerrville Christine M. Kelley, 97, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in a local care center. Born 21, March 1907 in Marion Nebraska. The fifth child of Amos and May Pew whose parents were among the first settlers of south central Nebraska and the Beaver Valley in particular. She was a graduate of the Danbury, Nebraska High School in 1925, and the Lincoln School of Commerce. She married Clarke W. Kelley of Beaver City in 1931 and had two children, Kent and John. She owned and published the Funas County Credit Report, and later was head of the USDA Agricultural Conservation Program locally. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the VFW Aux, Elks Ladies Aux, and the P.E.O. Her hobbies included golf, archery, fishing, china painting, bridge and traveling. She retired in 1965 and moved with her husband to Kerrville TX where they were active in the development of the RioRobles Community. She enjoyed extraordinarily good health, was a pro sports enthusiast, and bridge player in her later years. She made countless friends, most of whom proceeded her in death. She is survived by Kent Kelley, her son, eight grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren.
