Kerrville Charles E. quotChuckquot Flanagan, Sr., 83, was born on June 24, 1928 in Dedham, MA, and passed peacefully on April 1, 2012 at a local hospital in Kerrville, TX.
Chuck embraced life, his faith, family and friends with all he had. He loved his country and being a true patriot, he served with pride and distinction during WW II, as well as the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He and his wife Faye moved to Kerrville upon his retirement in 1992 after many years of service with the U.S. State Department as a Diplomat.
He is survived by his children, Charles Jr. of Houston, TX, Debra of Las Vegas, NV, Christopher of Pensacola, FL, and Patrick of Kerrville, TX grandchildren, Benjamin, Lauren and Emma, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.
ation will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 6 8pm at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Funeral Services will occur on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11 AM in the sanctuary of Kerrville Bible Church. Interment will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:30 PM with full Military Honors provided by the active duty United States Air Force Honor Guard.
