Arlington Charles E. Ebensberger, 91, passed into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Charles was born March 9, 1916 in New Braunfels, TX to Robert W. and Anna Laux Ebensberger. He married Margaret Eitze in 1938 a few years later they moved to Kerrville where they lived for 58 years and were members of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. They were happily married for 69 loving years. Due to illness, they moved in late 2005 to Hearth Stone Assisted Living in Arlington to be close to their son and his wife. Charles served in the U. S. Navy Seabees Branch during WWII. After the war he worked for the Texas Highway Department TxDOT building and inspecting roads and bridges. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Arlington, TX son, Gary and wife Merrilee of Arlington brother, Eddie Ebensberger of Seguin, TX three grandchildren, Steve and family of Tampa, FL, David and family of Nashville, TN, and Paul and family of Flower Mound, TX. His family also includes eight great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and many loving friends and neighbors.A visitation will be held from 5 7 PM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2007 in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028 with Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
